ABOUT

Kallarroo is located near Nimmitabel outside of Cooma, New South Wales.

Set near the Numeralla River, between two national parks, short distance to the famous and beautiful Snowy Mountains.

With 1000 acres of the rolling country- including native forest, park-like grazing land, and three kilometers Numeralla River frontage- there's a lot to do at Kallarroo!

The Kallarroo Cottage accommodation has a feel of a fishing/ski lodge

and offers sweeping, majestic views down the valley and mountain property.

In this rustic and secluded log cabin, you can simply relax in front of the open fireplace, enjoy rural comfort and a real taste of traditional Australian farm life.

All timber is provided for the fireplaces in the cottage and bonfire. For experience, we offer a guided wood splitting lesson where we teach you all tricks of the trade.

Wildlife

If you're on the lookout, you're bound to see some wildlife, perhaps the local platypus family or a cute echidna. Birds include a range of colourful parrots and there are numerous wombats, kangaroos and wallabies to spot.

Feed horses

We are registered horse breeders and trading as Kallarroo Gypsy Cob Stud. Our horses love to make new friends, especially when you feed them carrots.

We also have other friendly animals like alpacas, highlander cows, guinea fowls, some chickens, and sheep.

Birdwatching

Surrounded by National Parks, the area has a rich variety of birds. Relaxing on the cottage patio enables bird watching at your doorstep.

Take a leisurely drive through the countryside or explore our tracks on the farm.

GUEST REVIEW

"This place is truly heaven on earth, beautiful cottage, vibe and views. The group of friends I went with were also equally amazed and could not be happier with the experience. On top of the beautiful and unique location and experience. The owners are some of the friendliest people I have ever spoken to, giving us tips on things to do at the house, as well as telling us how far away different locations were. I honestly have enjoyed that experience so much and will 100% come visit in the future!"
